Job summary

Ignition Driver Recruitment are recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to work with our client in Biggleswade. Join a well-established operation with consistent work, modern vehicles and immediate starts available.

As a professional HGV Class 1 Driver you will perform multi-drop deliveries, tail lift work with cages, and complete daily checks and paperwork. A valid UK Class 1 licence, DCPC and tachograph card are required, with at least 6 months' experience.

Qualifications

• A valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Driving Licence.
• Driver CPC qualification (DCPC).
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• 6 months' commercial Class 1 driving experience.
• Professional attitude with safety and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Multi-drop Deliveries (3-4 drops per day).
• Tail Lift work delivering cages over 320 kg.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Ensure deliveries are on time and compliant with regulations.
• Complete paperwork and electronic records accurately.

Job description

Location:Biggleswade

Pay Rate:£28.01 to £31.37 p/h

Shifts:Variety of shifts available - one weekend dayrequired (apply to discuss shifts + start times)

Experience:6 months experience driving Class 1 is essential

Requirement:You will be required to complete a Drug & Alcohol Test before your Driving Assessment

The Role

As a professional HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties may include:

• Multi-drop Deliveries (3-4 deliveries per day)
• Tail Lift work - delivering 320+kg cages on ambient, chill and frozen
• Completing daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
• Ensuring deliveries are completed safely, professionally and on time
• Complying with Driver Hours, Working Time Directive and Road Transport regulations
• Completing all relevant paperwork and electronic records accurately

What We're Looking For

To be considered for this role, you'll need:

• A valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Driving Licence
• At least 6months' commercial Class 1 driving experience
• A valid Driver CPC qualification (DCPC)
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
• A professional attitude with a strong commitment to safety and customer service

Our client may accept up to 6 penalty points. Unfortunately, applications with DD, DR, CD, IN or TT endorsements cannot be accepted.
