Job summary

Ignition Driver Recruitment is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) driver for store deliveries and cage work in Burton-on-Trent. Role involves caged deliveries to Hobbycraft stores with occasional pallets, and requires 2 years of Class 1 experience plus a valid DCPC and tachograph card.

Shifts include days and nights with guaranteed 8 hours pay per shift, weekly pay every Friday, and opportunities for overtime in a modern fleet.

Qualifications

The Role

As a professional HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties may include:

• Deliveries are primarily caged deliveries to Hobbycraft stores
  • There may be the occasional pallet, but the vast majority of the work is cage-based
• Drivers are responsible for:
  • Delivering cages into the store
  • Returning salvage
  • Managing the delivery paperwork/process correctly
  • Both day and night drivers will physically handle the cage deliveries
  • Night Deliveries Airlock Process

What We're Looking For

• A valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Driving Licence
• At least 2years' commercial Class 1 driving experience
• A valid Driver CPC qualification (DCPC)
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
• A professional attitude with a strong commitment to safety and customer service
