Job summary

GI Group is recruiting for multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers to join a leading parcel network in Norwich (NR6). Roles are on an ad-hoc basis with afternoon shifts, Monday to Friday and weekend work available. Typical shifts last around 12 hours with pay rates that include holiday pay.

Rates are: Monday-Friday £20.34, overtime £25.25 after 8 hours; Saturday £23.52 and Sunday £26.25. Duties include vehicle checks and trunking to depots/hubs, with emphasis on meeting tight time commitments.

Qualifications

• 12+ months experience as a Class 1 Driver
• Hold a valid Tachograph & CPC
• No more than 6 penalty points
• Presentable appearance and positive attitude
• Good customer service skills

Drivers shifts

• We are looking for HGV Class 1 Drivers to work afternoon shifts on an ad-hoc basis.

HGV Class 1 Drivers pay & benefits

• Monday to Friday - £20.34 per hour
• Overtime (After 8 hours) - £25.25 per hour
• Saturday - £23.52 per hour
• Overtime (After 8 hours) - £25.25 per hour
• Sunday - £26.25 per hour
• Please note these rates are inclusive of holiday pay

HGV Class 1 Driver main duties will include

• Conducting Vehicle checks
• Trunking work to depots and Hubs
• Prioritising workload to ensure time commitments are met

HGV Class 1 Driver requirements

• A presentable appearance, an eye for detail and a positive attitude.
• No more than 6 penalty points. No DD / IN / DR / DN / TT endorsement codes
• Hold a valid, in date Tachograph & CPC
• Have good customer service skills
• Must have at least 12 months experience as a Class 1 Driver
