Job summary

Deutsche Post DHL Group, operating as DHL Supply Chain, is seeking a Class 1 Day Driver to support operations in Bedford with safe, on-time deliveries and professional service. This permanent full-time role offers paid breaks, a structured shift pattern, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Key responsibilities include driving a wagon and draw vehicle, performing vehicle checks, and maintaining health and safety standards in line with regulations. Training is provided for new drivers.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid HGV Class 1 Driving Licence (C+E), Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Must have 6 months recent Class 1 driving experience.
• Wagon and drag experience would be an advantage but full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Duties will be on a wagon and draw vehicle; training provided.
• Collection and delivery across the south of England to home delivery sites.
• Drive safely and efficiently in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive.
• Follow health and safety standards and The Highway Code at all times.
• Regular vehicle checks and manual handling of customer products.

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

• Duties will be on a wagon and draw vehicle - training provided
• Collection and delivery and collection of boxes at various home delivery sites across the south of England
• Driving in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Complying with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations
• Regular completion of vehicle checks
• Manual handling of customer products

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO
