Job summary

Sapphire Utility Solutions in North Wales is recruiting a Civils Skilled Operative to join our team for the Welsh Water contract. You will perform groundwork tasks, operate plant and maintain equipment, and ensure site documentation is up to date.

A valid UK driving license and prior drainage experience are essential. You will receive training in NPORS/NRSWA/EUSR and related safety courses, with opportunities for long-term career development in a growing group.

Qualifications

  • Full UK driving license (Required) with no more than 6 penalty points.
  • Experience in deep drainage and pipe repairs is required.
  • Training will include NPORS, Banksman, Manual Handling, Emergency First Aid, NRSWA, EUSR National Water Hygiene, Asbestos Awareness, Slinger and Signaller, Abrasive Wheels, Calm Water, EUSR Safe Dig - Cat & Genny, EUSR Water, Face Fit Tested - FFP3.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out groundwork tasks such as digging trenches, laying pipes, spot repairs and preparing surfaces for construction.
  • Update site documentation using electronic tablet.
  • Operate plant and machinery safely and efficiently to assist with various tasks.
  • Perform daily vehicle checks and maintenance to ensure roadworthiness.
