Job summary

Lanes Group is seeking an experienced LIning Engineer to oversee day-to-day site activities at Kinmel Bay, ensuring safety, efficiency and top quality. You will supervise operatives and subcontractors, coordinate resources and maintain compliance on site.

Location: Kinmel Bay. Hours: 50 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7am-5pm. Salary: Up to £16.00 per hour, depending on experience. The role offers a pension, death in service and 21 days holiday plus bank holidays.

Qualifications

  • Flexibility in working approach.
  • Ability to cover long distances by foot.
  • Desire to progress within the company.
  • Knowledge of utilities and traffic management (not essential).
  • Full UK driving license, with no more than 6 points.

Responsibilities

  • Assist and learn to use and maintain cutting unit.
  • Work with patching and lining teams on repair methods and mobility between contracts.
  • Set up traffic management (training provided).
  • Confined spaces entry (training provided).
  • Risk assessments and updating work packs.
  • Be flexible with overtime and occasional weekends.

About the role

We are delighted to announce a major new contract win with Welsh Water, supporting them over the next four years and beyond, delivering proactive and reactive maintenance of their Wastewater Network.

We are now seeking an experienced LIning to oversee day‑to‑day site activities, ensuring all works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. This role involves supervising operatives and subcontractors, coordinating resources and maintaining strong compliance, workmanship and operational performance on site.

Sapphire Utility Solutions are seeking a Lining Engineer to join the team and to grown and progress their career in the utilities sector working for a growing company.

Location: Kinmel Bay

Hours: 50 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7am-5pm.

Salary: Up to £16.00 per hour, depending on experience

Responsibilities – but not limited to:
  • Working on the back of cutting unit assisting and learning how to use and maintain the cutting unit
  • Working with patching and lining teams to pick up various repair methods so they can move around the teams and eventually runs a van across all contracts (Training will be provided)
  • Setting up traffic management (Training will be provided)
  • Confined spaces entry (Training will be provided)
  • Risk assessments and updating work packs
  • The operative will be expected to be flexible picking up overtime if required and the occasional weekend
Experience and qualifications desirable required for the role:
  • To be flexible in their working approach
  • To be able to cover long distances by foot
