Job summary

Lanes Group plc in Wales has a vacancy for a Van Pack Team Leader to support Welsh Water under a four-year contract. This is a field-based role delivering drainage maintenance and customer‑focussed service across North & Central Wales, with emphasis on safe, efficient jetting operations and data capture.

You will lead on-site teams, manage blocking issues, operate high‑pressure jetting equipment, and coordinate CCTV surveys when required, while upholding safety and quality on every job.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required.
• WJA, Red or Blue Book certifications preferred.
• Banksman qualification beneficial.
• Manual Handling, Emergency First Aid and NRSWA are essential.
• EUSR National Water Hygiene certificate required.
• Medium Risk Confined Space training desirable.

Responsibilities

• Attend customer locations and communicate planned works.
• Answer questions and provide reassurance on site.
• Inspect drainage systems to identify blockages, leaks or structural issues.
• Operate high‑pressure water jetting equipment to clear and clean drainage systems.
• Adjust pressure levels based on blockage type (grease, debris, roots).
• Assist with CCTV surveys when required.
• Report all findings/data accurately to operational teams.
• Complete digital data entry using a laptop or tablet.
• Report safety issues per company procedures.
• Perform routine checks and maintenance of jetting equipment.
• Work outdoors, problem‑solve and contribute to teamwork on site.

We’re expanding! Following a recent contract win, Lanes Group is recruiting Van Pack Team Leaders across North & Central Wales. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing team delivering industry‑leading drainage solutions while supporting one of our most exciting clients and contributing to AMP8 objectives. Responsibilities

Customer Interaction

• Attending customer locations and communicating planned works

Drainage Operations

• Inspecting drainage systems to identify blockages, leaks or structural issues
• Operating high‑pressure water jetting equipment to clear and clean drainage systems
