Job summary

Lanes Group, via Sapphire Utility Solutions, is recruiting a Civils Skilled Operative for North and Central Wales, based in Kimnel Bay. The role involves groundwork, trenching, pipe laying and site prep with a 47.5-hour week, Monday to Friday, 7am–5pm, and flexibility.

We offer enhanced overtime rates, weekly pay, and benefits including 21 days holidays plus BH, pension, and death in service. This is a long-term opportunity with potential career progression within the group.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving license with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Experience in deep drainage and pipe repairs is required.
• Training will include NPORS, Banksman, Manual Handling, Emergency First Aid, NRSWA, EUSR National Water Hygiene, Asbestos Awareness, Slinger and Signaller, Abrasive Wheels, Calm Water, EUSR Safe Dig – Cat & Genny, EUSR Water, Face Fit Tested – FFP3.

Responsibilities

• Carry out groundwork tasks such as digging trenches, laying pipes, spot repairs and preparing surfaces for construction.
• Updating and completing site documentation using electronic tablet.
• Operate plant and machinery safely and efficiently to assist with various tasks.
• Perform daily vehicle checks and maintenance to ensure roadworthiness.

About the role:

• Hours: 47.5 hours per week Monday to Friday, 7am-5pm, flexibility is required
