Job summary

Rolls-Royce SMR is seeking an Engineer – MDP Civils to drive civil modularisation activities and deliver demonstrator projects in a highly regulated nuclear context. The role spans design, manufacture, assembly and site delivery, with a strong emphasis on safety, quality and budget adherence.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with suppliers, manufacturing and engineering to validate scalable modular approaches and inform future site factory strategies.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering civil engineering projects with focus on safety, cost and schedule.
• Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders across multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of construction delivery, manufacturing integration, design for manufacture and assembly (DfMA).
• Experience in regulated industries and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of civil engineering demonstrator projects validating modular construction approaches.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing and construction teams to ensure designs can be manufactured, assembled and deployed.
• Work closely with suppliers and delivery partners to align with construction and assembly strategies.
• Help manage project activities to achieve safety, quality, cost and schedule objectives.
• Coordinate with project engineers, civil engineers, design teams, procurement, quality and external partners.
• Contribute to delivering data that supports maturity of modularisation and site factory strategy.
