Overview

My client, a specialist UK based Engineering Consultancy which specialises in Drainage, Civil and Structural Engineering, is searching for an Assistant Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer to join an established team of Flood Risk and Drainage specialists based in Edinburgh.

It is essential that applicants have a strong academic background in a relevant discipline including a BSc and/or MSc in Civil Engineering or Hydrology and experience working for a UK based Consultancy or Local Authority completing Flood Risk Assessments, Flood Risk Reports, Drainage Strategies and Drainage Design using Civils 3D, Infodrainage or Causeway Flow. It is also beneficial for applicants to reside locally as you will be required in the office.

Responsibilities

• Join a team to work on varied Flood Risk, Hydraulic Modelling, Flood Estimation and Drainage Projects for Residential, Commercial and mixed-use developments across England and Scotland for Private Sector Clients, Housing Developers and Local Authorities.
• Collaborate on Flood Risk Assessments and Flood Risk Reports.
• Contribute to Flood Estimation and Surface Water Management planning.
• Assist with Drainage Strategies and Detailed Residential Drainage and Sewerage Design using AutoCAD, Civils 3D, Causeway and Infodrainage.
• Assist with Access Road Design.

Qualifications

• BSc and/or MSc in Civil Engineering or Hydrology or a closely related discipline.
• Experience working for a UK based Consultancy or Local Authority completing Flood Risk Assessments, Flood Risk Reports, Drainage Strategies and Drainage Design using Civils 3D, Infodrainage or Causeway Flow.
• It is beneficial to reside locally as you will be required in the office.
