Job summary

Vue Cinemas is seeking an experienced Cinema Manager to lead a high-performing team, deliver exceptional customer experiences and drive profitability across a local market. You will coach staff, manage schedules, budgets, and compliance while nurturing development and a culture of inclusion.

You will work closely with senior management to implement business plans, KPIs, and performance reviews, ensuring smooth operations and a positive environment for both customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a customer-facing team in a retail or service environment.
• Proven ability to forecast targets and report on performance.
• Strong business acumen with proactive problem-solving.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in IT (Excel, MS Office) and cinema systems.
• Ability to recruit, manage payroll, and handle employee relations.
• Committed to diversity, inclusion and delivering great customer service.

Responsibilities

• Create and embed a positive working culture and lead by example.
• Implement business plan, objectives and KPIs for the team.
• Maximise cinema performance by adjusting schedules and film selections.
• Monitor attendance forecasts and adjust staff hours.
• Coordinate with screen content team to ensure timeliness.
• Coach and support the team to meet KPIs and goals.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and manage underperformers.
• Organise training sessions and ensure compliance.
• Source, interview and recruit new team members.
• Manage staff costs and budgeting and use payroll system.
• Maintain site maintenance logs and quick issue resolution.
• Ensure compliance: fire, health & safety, audits, roster, cleaning.
• Delegate tasks and promote development.
• Participate in training to improve people management.
