Job summary

Cambian Group Plc is recruiting a Registered Manager for a 4-bed Children’s Complex Care home in Wisbech. The role focuses on delivering tailored care plans, building a strong team, and ensuring regulatory standards are met.

You will lead care provision, support staff development, and oversee consultations with young people while maintaining high standards and an efficient budget. Ofsted Good rating is a goal.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years in a position related to residential care of children, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role within the last 5 years.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent), or willingness to start within 6 months of employment.
• Knowledge of The Quality Standards, SCCIF, childcare legislation, and regulatory requirements.
• Skills in planning, organizing, budget control, resource allocation, and team leadership.
• Full UK driving license is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop Comprehensive Care Plans: Ensure each young person has a tailored plan that addresses their care, education, social, emotional, cultural, therapeutic, and health needs.
• Develop a great team: Work with recruitment to bring in the right people; complete induction and development plans; retain a strong team.
• Foster Consultation: Develop systems to consult young people about the care they receive.
• Allocate Key Workers: Assign a Key Worker to each young person to implement their childcare plan.
• Maintain High Standards: Establish and monitor high-quality care standards in line with National Minimum Standards and the Home’s SOP.
• Handle Complaints and Concerns: Take responsibility for addressing any complaints or child protection concerns.
• Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work with parents, carers, and professionals to promote welfare of young people.
• Participate in Meetings: Attend and contribute to care planning and review meetings.
• Embrace a safe culture: Ensure the children are cared for to the best possible standard.
• Effective Commercial Management of your home: Manage your home aligned to budget expectations.
