Job summary

Cambian, part of CareTech, is seeking a Registered Manager for a 2-bed Children’s Complex Care home in Wisbech. You will develop care plans, lead a multi-disciplinary team, and ensure services meet regulatory standards.

The role offers a robust leadership pathway, a welcome bonus of £5,000 on registration, and ongoing professional development. You will drive high-quality care, maintain Ofsted ratings, and collaborate with families and professionals to support vulnerable children.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in residential care of children, with supervisory role in last 5 years.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or willing to start within 6 months.
• Knowledge of The Quality Standards, SCCIF, childcare legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Strong planning, budgeting, and team leadership abilities.
• Excellent communication skills in spoken and written form.
• Understanding of needs of children with behavioural, emotional, and social difficulties.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive care plans tailored to each young person’s needs.
• Build and retain a strong home team through induction and development plans.
• Consult with young people about their care and involve stakeholders.
• Assign Key Workers to implement care plans.
• Maintain high quality standards aligned with National Minimum Standards and Ofsted.
• Manage complaints and safeguarding concerns appropriately.
• Collaborate with parents, carers and professionals.
• Participate in care planning and review meetings.
• Promote a safe, supportive service culture.
• Ensure budget-conscious commercial management of the home.
