Job summary

Cambian Group Plc in Salford is seeking a Registered Manager to lead a two-bedroom Children’s Home, ensuring high-quality care and compliance. You will develop care plans, recruit and develop a strong team, and collaborate with families and professionals to safeguard welfare.

You will be expected to drive service improvements, manage budgets, and align operations with Ofsted standards, while benefiting from sector-leading development, induction, and bonus schemes.

Qualifications

• Passionate about making the difference to the lives of young people in care.
• At least 2 years in residential care of children, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role within the last 5 years.
• Level 3 in Children's Residential Care is essential; Level 5 Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare preferred or enrolled within 6 months of starting.

Responsibilities

• Develop Comprehensive Care Plans: tailor plans addressing care, education, social, emotional and health needs.
• Develop a great team: recruit, induct, develop plans, and retain familiar faces for the young people.
• Foster consultation: develop systems to consult young people about the care they receive.
• Allocate Key Workers: assign a Key Worker to implement the care plan.
• Maintain High Standards: monitor high-quality care in line with standards and the Home’s Purpose.
• Handle Complaints and Concerns: address any complaints or child protection concerns.
• Collaborate with Stakeholders: work with parents, carers and professionals to promote welfare.
• Participate in Meetings: attend and contribute to care planning and review meetings.
