Job summary

Cambian Group is recruiting a Registered Manager in Bedfordshire to lead one of our children’s residential homes. You will drive high standards of care, safeguarding, and regulatory compliance while building a supportive, clinical-focused team.

You will manage budgets, develop care plans, and work closely with parents, carers and professionals to promote the welfare of young people. A Level 5 Diploma and strong leadership experience are essential.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years in residential care of children, with 1 year in a supervisory role in the last 5 years.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent) or willing to start within 6 months.
• Understanding of The Quality Standards, SCCIF, childcare legislation, and regulatory requirements.
• Skilled in planning, organizing, budget control, resource allocation and team leadership.
• Confident spoken and written communication.
• Knowledge of needs of children with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Establish and monitor high-quality care standards in line with National Minimum Standards.
• Handle complaints and safeguarding concerns.
• Collaborate with parents, carers, and professionals to promote welfare.
• Attend and contribute to care planning and review meetings.
• Maintain a safe culture and ensure services meet regulatory requirements.
• Manage home aligned to budget expectations.
• Develop and lead the team to deliver outstanding care.
