Job summary

Cambian Group Plc is hiring a Registered Manager in Middlesbrough to oversee a two-bedroom complex care home for children. You will develop tailored care plans, recruit and develop a strong team, consult with young people, assign Key Workers and ensure high standards in line with Ofsted expectations.

The role requires leadership, regulatory knowledge, and a proactive approach to safeguarding, budgeting, and stakeholder collaboration to drive positive outcomes for young people.

Qualifications

• Passionate about making a difference to the lives of young people in care.
• At least 2 years in residential care of children, with 1 year in a supervisory role in the last 5 years.
• Qualification: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to start within 6 months).
• Understanding of The Quality Standards, SCCIF, childcare legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Develop Comprehensive Care Plans tailored to each young person’s needs.
• Build and lead a strong home team with induction and personal development plans.
• Consult young people about their care and allocate Key Workers.
• Maintain high standards in line with National Minimum Standards and the Home’s Purpose.
• Handle complaints and safeguarding concerns and collaborate with families and professionals.
• Attend care planning and review meetings and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Ensure safe, compliant operations and align budget expectations with commercial goals.
