The Cambian Group in Middlesbrough is seeking a Registered Manager to lead a two-bedroom Children’s Complex Care Ofsted home. You will develop care plans, build a strong team, and ensure high standards of care while managing budgets and stakeholders.

Essential experience includes 2+ years in residential care with supervisory responsibility, Level 5 Diploma or equivalent, and strong planning, budgeting, and leadership skills. Ofsted Good rating is the target.

Qualifications

• Passionate about improving outcomes for young people in care.
• At least 2 years in residential care with 1 year in a supervisory role in the last 5 years.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
• Knowledge of Quality Standards, SCCIF, and childcare regulations.
• Strong planning, budgeting, resource allocation and team leadership skills.
• Excellent spoken and written communication.
• Understanding trauma and needs of children with behavioural and emotional difficulties.

Responsabilités

• Develop Comprehensive Care Plans: ensure each young person has a tailored plan addressing care, education, social, emotional, cultural, therapeutic and health needs.
• Develop a great team: recruit with support and complete induction and development plans to keep familiar faces for the young people.
• Foster consultation: create systems to consult young people about the care they receive.
• Allocate Key Workers: assign a Key Worker to each young person to implement their care plan.
• Maintain High Standards: monitor high-quality care in line with standards and the home’s purpose.
• Handle Complaints and Concerns: address complaints and child protection concerns.
• Collaborate with Stakeholders: work with parents, carers and professionals to promote welfare.
• Participate in Meetings: attend child care planning and review meetings as appropriate.
• Embrace a safe culture: ensure the children are cared for to the highest standard.
• Effective Commercial Management: manage the home aligned to budget expectations.
