Job summary

Cambian seeks a Registered Manager for a solo Children’s Home in Levenshulme (Manchester area). You will lead recruitment, induction, and ongoing development to ensure excellent care for young people, aiming for at least a Good Ofsted rating. A strong leader with 2+ years in residential care and Level 3 qualification is essential.

You will manage budgets, drive quality standards, and work with families and professionals to support each child’s education, health, and social needs.

Qualifications

• 2 years in residential care of children, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role (within last 5 years).
• Knowledge of The Quality Standards, SCCIF, childcare legislation, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive care plans tailored to each young person.
• Build and retain a strong, capable home team through induction and development plans.
• Consult with young people about their care and involve them in decisions.
• Allocate Key Workers to implement care plans effectively.
• Maintain high standards aligned with the Home’s Purpose and quality standards.
• Handle complaints and safeguarding concerns promptly and appropriately.
• Collaborate with parents, carers and professionals for welfare.
• Attend care planning and review meetings as required.
