A children's therapeutic home in Redditch is seeking a Waking Night Residential Support Worker to provide overnight care for children aged 8-18 with learning disabilities and Autism. Ashiyana House is a new 2 bed therapeutic children's home located in the heart of Redditch, Worcestershire. We are currently seeking full time Waking Night Residential Support Workers to join our vibrant and dedicated team in providing care and support to children aged 8-18 with learning disabilities, Autism and behavioural needs.
The role involves supervising and supporting children throughout the night from 20:00 until 08:00 the following day. Waking night support staff are expected to remain awake and alert throughout their shift, responding to the needs of children and maintaining security of the home. There is also an expectation to maintain records, health and safety and cleanliness within the home.
If children wake up during the night you will be responsible for helping them to settle back to sleep. At times you may be required to carry out personal care or administer medication in accordance with care plans and risk assessments. As a therapeutic home we place strong emphasis on creating a environment for children that promotes positive change in emotional regulation and behaviour while building secure attachment and healthy relationships. Therapeutic approaches we use include Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), PACE approach (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, and Empathy) and Sensory Attachment Intervention (SAI).
This role is 40 hour per week. The role is expected to begin in March/April 2026.
