Zusammenfassung

Homes2Inspire, part of Shaw Trust Group, is seeking a Children’s Residential Support Worker in Wellingborough (NN8). The role supports young people in a residential setting, safeguarding wellbeing and providing stable, positive role modelling.

You will help with daily routines, transport to school and appointments, and develop life skills while documenting progress. Sleep-ins are required 1–2 per week; evenings and weekends are part of contracted hours.

Qualifikationen

• Must demonstrate compassion, patience and a genuine desire to make a difference in children’s lives.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to support young people and work with families.
• Ability to remain calm in challenging situations and maintain professional boundaries.
• Willingness to work towards QCF Level 3 in Residential Childcare (fully funded).
• Honesty, empathy and commitment to being a positive role model for young people.

Aufgaben

• Safeguard and promote the wellbeing of young people in our care.
• Build trusting relationships and act as a positive role model while setting clear boundaries.
• Assist with daily routines, household tasks and meal preparation.
• Encourage participation in community activities and hobbies.
• Transport young people to school, medical appointments and activities.
• Help young people develop life skills, including managing finances.
• Maintain accurate records and paperwork.
• Work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, bank holidays and sleep-ins (1–2 per week).
