Job summary

Homes2Inspire (part of Shaw Trust Group) is seeking a Children’s Residential Support Worker in Northampton (NN3). The role involves safeguarding, daily care, and helping young people build life skills within a 5-bed home. Full-time hours include evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins. Drivers with a full UK license are essential.

You’ll join a charity-led provider with ambitious growth and comprehensive training, progression opportunities, and extra benefits.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated compassion and patience with children.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stay calm in challenging situations.
• Willingness to pursue QCF Level 3 in Residential Childcare (funded).

Responsibilities

• Safeguard and promote the wellbeing of young people in care.
• Provide daily care including cooking, cleaning, and budgeting support.
• Encourage participation in community activities and hobbies.
• Maintain safe environment following procedures and Ofsted regulations.
• Build positive relationships and act as a role model.
• Transport to school, appointments, and activities.
• Maintain accurate records and liaise with professionals.
• Work flexibly including evenings, weekends and sleep-ins.
• Full UK drivers license is essential.
