Job summary

Homes2Inspire (part of Shaw Trust Group) in Wellingborough, NC welcomes applications for a Residential BANK Support Worker on a zero hours contract. The role involves caring for young people, providing daily support, and helping them develop life skills in a safe home environment.

You will work shifts including evenings, weekends and sleep-ins; drivers with a full UK licence are essential. Training and progression are funded and available.

Qualifications

• Compassion and patience to support young people.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to complete QCF Level 3 in Residential Childcare (funded).

Responsibilities

• Safeguard and promote wellbeing of young people in our care.
• Provide daily care and support, including cooking, cleaning, budgeting skills.
• Encourage participation in community activities and hobbies.
• Maintain a safe environment following procedures and Ofsted rules.
• Build positive relationships and act as a role model.
• Transport young people to school, appointments, activities.
• Maintain records and liaise with management and professionals.
• Work flexibly including evenings, weekends, sleep-ins (1–2 per week).
• Drivers with full UK licence are essential.
