Job Description:

The Aspire Training Team is currently recruiting for a punctual, reliable, and enthusiastic individual to join Apple Blossom Day Nursery as a Level 3 Childcare Apprentice.

Apple Blossom Day Nursery is a friendly and caring family-run nursery, with excellent facilities both inside and outside. Situated in the rural areas of Exeter, Whimple, the nursery cares for children from 0 to 5 years old.
The setting has been established for over 23 years, running 2 rooms and offering a range of safe and fun outdoor activities.

This is an exciting opportunity to complete a Level 3 Childcare apprenticeship within a friendly team at a fantastic setting.

Your roles and responsibilities would include:

• Supporting children with personal care
• Supporting with feeding and snacks
• Preparing activities for children
• Participating in activities with children
• Helping with messy play
• Working with team members to keep the setting clean and tidy
• Willingness to get involved
• Adhering to safeguarding procedures
• Keeping children safe at all times
• Following health and safety procedures
• Observing children and interacting with parents

Requirements:

• Level 2 Childcare Qualification is desirable
• Ability to obtain a clear DBS
• GCSEs in English and Maths at C/4 or above or Functional Skills
• Being able to drive is beneficial due to the location of the setting

Hours:

• This position is 52 weeks per year, with a minimum of 30 hours per week, flexible shifts to be discussed, operating between 7:45 am and 6:00 pm
