A large communications company is seeking an exceptional candidate to oversee all technical and IT activities. This is a key board-level appointment within a long-standing and successful client.
The Chief Digital Officer (CDO) will set the technological vision and lead the company’s technical delivery and support functions. Responsibilities include supporting business transformation and establishing technology partnerships to meet business needs.
The role involves understanding strategic business objectives, translating them into technical solutions, and owning the technical product roadmap and portfolio management. The goal is to deliver a profitable, sustainable IT function that supports both immediate and strategic business needs.
Knowledge and Experience
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of representing technology at board level and leading digital transformation initiatives (minimum 6 years). Experience in inspiring technical teams of over 50 members, familiarity with modern technical structures, agile methodologies, and strategic partnerships is essential. The candidate should support decentralized technology models while ensuring governance to manage risks and technical debt.
They must be capable of leading teams to collaborate with the business and clients, supporting technology deployment, and designing commercial models to generate new revenue streams from digital transformation.
