Job summary

BIMM University is seeking a Head of Digital, AI & Platform Services to lead the strategy, development and evolution of the university's enterprise platforms, digital products and AI-enabled solutions. You will collaborate across Technology, academic departments and professional services to shape a secure, reliable digital ecosystem that supports teaching and student outcomes.

You will drive AI adoption, governance, and modern software engineering practices, ensure high standards of delivery,

Qualifications

Experience leading digital platforms, software engineering, or AI-enabled services in a complex organisation.
Strong understanding of enterprise applications, platform architecture and systems integration.
Experience delivering digital products from discovery to implementation and enhancement.
Knowledge of generative AI, automation technologies, large language models, APIs and emerging digital tools.
Experience establishing technical standards and governance approaches that balance innovation with security, resilience and long-term sustainability.
A track record of using technology to solve organisational challenges and deliver measurable outcomes.
Experience leading multidisciplinary teams, creating a culture of ownership, collaboration and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

Lead Digital, AI & Platform Services across enterprise apps and digital products.
Define platform and product priorities aligned with institutional objectives.
Oversee enterprise platforms ensuring security, reliability and effectiveness.
Lead software engineering and product development with modern practices.
Drive AI, automation and intelligent workflows to create value.
Move new products from concept to sustainable, supported services.
Oversee architecture, integrations and platform performance with Technology.
Lead Digital Library Services supporting learning and access to resources.
Build partnerships translating priorities into digital initiatives.
Manage relationships with software vendors and delivery partners.
Contribute to technology strategy, investment planning and transformation.
