CHEMICAL SALES MANAGER – COSMETICS/PERSONAL CARE

We are looking for an experienced Sales Manager with a background in raw chemical ingredients within Cosmetics & Personal Care.

Our client, a leading Chemical Distributor based in Manchester, offers a wide range of innovative raw materials to manufacturers and brands in the personal care market.

We have two opportunities in Personal Care, located in the North and South of the UK. Both roles involve managing an existing account base and focusing on business development to acquire new clients.

Experience in a field-based role with raw chemical ingredients is essential.

This role offers a competitive salary and a performance-based bonus structure.

Responsibilities:
  • Drive sales targets within the competitive cosmetics industry.
  • Enhance revenue and build long-term customer relationships through excellent customer service, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Support existing clients and seek new business opportunities through client visits, trade shows, marketing initiatives, and networking.
  • Receive support from R&D, marketing, sales, logistics, and customer support teams.
  • Manage sales operations independently, including customer analysis, proposals, pricing, negotiations, and sales tracking.
  • Gather customer and market insights, monitor market opportunities, and assess competitor activities.
Ideal Candidate:
  • Experience in cosmetic technology.
  • Experience in B2B sales within the personal care ingredients sector.
  • Willingness to travel and adaptable to different environments.
  • Exceptional listening, communication, analytical, and negotiation skills.
  • Focus on building relationships and providing solutions.
  • Persistence, organizational skills, and ability to work independently.
  • Proficient in English (written and spoken).
  • Familiar with MS Office, data protection, ISO standards, and workplace safety.
