Job Description
We're delighted to be working with one of the UK's specialist engineering firms, seeking to employ a driven and motivated Technical Sales Manager. The position can be field-based in the North of the UK. You will help to maintain and secure new and existing business across Scotland and the North, focusing on high-growth customers within chemical, pharma, scientific, and energy sectors. With such a diverse customer base, engineering experience in any market will be considered, along with the ability to learn new skills on the job.
You should ideally have experience in writing proposals, visiting clients, and be confident in selling to senior management and technically focused decision-makers.
While a large part of this role involves retaining and growing existing accounts, you should also be capable of focusing on new business acquisitions. You must have a strong technical focus, with the ability to understand the bigger picture and identify client needs through effective communication skills. Working from home, you will need a driver's license and a minimum of 4 years of experience in an engineering/technical sales background. A degree is not required; applications from candidates with varying experience levels are welcome, especially those seeking a home-based role.
