Job summary

Thomas Franks Ltd in Manchester is seeking a Chef De Partie to join our school catering team. You will work in a fast-paced kitchen, prepare dishes from scratch using seasonal ingredients, and support with ad hoc hospitality.

This is a full-time, permanent role with 40 hours per week, term-time only at 36 weeks, with free on-site parking and meals on duty. Candidates should have CDP or junior sous chef experience and solid English communication.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced kitchen at CDP or junior sous chef level.
• Experience with fresh seasonal ingredients and changing menus.
• Knowledge of allergen control and health & safety policies.
• Good command of English (verbal and written).

Responsibilities

• Work well in a team of chefs to provide catering for pupils and teachers.
• Prepare food from scratch using fresh ingredients and following brand standards.
• Ensure food hygiene, health & safety policies and allergen controls are followed.
• Assist in controlling wastage and maintain quality throughout service.
