Job summary

Soho House is seeking a Chef de Partie to support the kitchen brigade and deliver exceptional dining experiences for members and guests. You will plate to company standards, prep before service and maintain high health and safety practices in a fast-paced environment.

You will work with a dynamic team, receive ongoing training, and enjoy benefits such as weekly pay, staff discounts, and wellbeing programs as part of Soho House’s people-first culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in a busy kitchen.
• Passion for food, attention to detail and a desire to learn and grow.
• Understanding of basic food safety and hygiene practices.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexible shifts including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Culinary qualification (NVQ Level 1 or 2) is a plus but not essential.
• Ability to take direction and work in a team environment and autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Plating food according to company guidelines to maintain high standards.
• Ensure mise en place is completed before service.
• Maintain a professional attitude at all times.
• Ensure health and safety regulations are met.
• Attend regular meetings with front and back of house teams for menu/service changes.
• Support junior team members (e.g., Commis Chefs) through guidance.
• Assist in preparation of team meals as requested, considering dietary needs.
• Demonstrate proactive learning, improvement and teamwork.
• Support with deep cleaning of the kitchen before close.
• Wrap unused items and store them properly at end of service.
