Job description

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Salary: 16.00ph
Hours: 37.5 per week

A small independent pre-prep day school for boys, part of a large group of schools, located in Marylebone, London. Catering for about 440 students and teachers, offering lunch and mid-morning snacks, with some hospitality services. This is a term-time only contract working 40 weeks a year, operating Monday to Friday.

We are seeking a talented Chef De Partie to join our team at one of our prestigious London locations.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced kitchen at CDP or junior sous chef level, with a passion for working with fresh, seasonal ingredients and creating bespoke menus. Creativity and skill showcase opportunities are available.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work effectively within a team of chefs providing catering services to pupils and staff.
  • Prepare food using fresh ingredients, cooking from scratch, and adhering to brand standards.
  • Maintain food standards and control wastage.
  • Follow Food Hygiene, Health & Safety policies, and allergen control procedures.

Skills and qualities required:

  • Genuine interest in food and excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong team player with innovation and passion for quality food.
  • Organised, detail-oriented, with understanding of food cost and wastage.
  • Good verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Experience in customer service or food preparation environments is preferred.
