Job summary

The Button Factory in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter is seeking a Chef de Partie to support the head chef and sous chef, running your allocated kitchen area to the highest standard and ensuring cleanliness and food safety.

You will contribute to all food preparation and service, work as part of a positive team, and enjoy benefits such as a weekly tronc, staff meals, pension, and generous staff discounts across Mosaic Pub & Dining venues.

Responsibilities

• Running your allocated area of the kitchen to the highest standard.
• Supporting the head chef and sous chef in their daily tasks.
• Involvement in production and service of all food leaving the kitchen.

Job description

Situated in the heart of Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter, The Button Factory has restored and extended one of the quarter’s traditional buildings. The venue hosts a spacious 40 seater restaurant, 2 bars, a garden terrace and outside courtyard which can hold up to 350 people. From Sunday Roasts, BBQ dinners, Wedding Receptions to evening drinks, the Button Factory has something for everyone.

As a Chef de Partie you have a responsibility within the operation and key to the success of the business and thus must always carry yourself in a professional manner.

Your tasks will include (but are not necessarily limited to):

• Running your allocated area of the kitchen to the highest standard
• Supporting the head chef and sous chef in their daily tasks
• Be involved with the production and service of all food leaving the kitchen skill level permitting.
• Ensuring that the kitchen is kept to the highest standards of cleanliness, accepting, and organizing deliveries.
• Adhering to all health and safety and food safety practices particular attention to allergens.
• Be a positive member of the team and communicate well with others around you.
