Job summary

Mitchells & Butlers PLC is offering a Production Chef Level 2 Apprenticeship over 15 months. You will work full-time in a kitchen under supervision while gaining a nationally recognised qualification.

Training combines on-site work, online learning, and coaching to ensure you develop the skills to support daily kitchen operations with quality and consistency. This role welcomes learners with a passion for cooking and offers progression opportunities across our brands, including a substantial

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; training provided to become a Production Chef Level 2.
• Apprenticeship lasts 15 months with work-based training and remote team coaching every 6 weeks.
• Full-time kitchen role under supervision, helping run the kitchen and maintain quality.

Responsibilities

• Communicate openly with the team to deliver outstanding food and service.
• Attend team meetings and contribute ideas.
• Prepare, cook and present food quickly, safely and to brand standards.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest queries and issues.
• Keep kitchen and back-of-house areas clean and organised.
• Assist with stock rotation, prep, and department setup/close-down.
• Stay updated on promotions and new products.
• Engage in in-house training and e-learning modules.
• Adhere to brand standards, licensing laws and company policies.
