Job Summary

We are recruiting an experienced Chef to help produce quality food and maintain high cleanliness standards in our hospital setting.

Details

Location: Woking, UK
Contract: Permanent
Working pattern: Full-time 40 hours a week rostered over 7 days
Salary: £29,574 per annum

Responsibilities
  • Follow instruction from the Chef Manager.
  • Clean and wash cutlery, crockery and kitchen ware.
  • Ensure floors and walkways are kept clean.
  • Assist with serving meals.
  • Project a polite manner to customers and staff.
  • Maintain health and safety hygiene standards.
  • Understand and follow fire drills in emergencies.
  • Undergo appropriate training to meet required standards.
  • Undertake any duty within scope of the job title as directed by management.
Qualifications
  • Experienced Chef used to fast‑paced environment.
  • Preferably experienced in healthcare sector dealing with dietary requirements.
  • Able to plan nourishing & attractive menus within available budgets.
  • Excellent communicator able to liaise with people at all levels.
  • Qualified in catering (City & Guilds 706:1 & 2 or NVQ Level 2/3).
  • Experience supporting and leading a catering team.
  • Holder of food hygiene certificate.
  • Polite & professional with positive attitude to guests.
