Job summary

Waveleisure in Eastbourne is seeking a Duty Manager to lead the site team and deliver outstanding customer care across all touchpoints. You will drive staffing, safety, finance, programming, and performance while supporting marketing, cleanliness and overall operations.

The role requires experience in customer-focused service delivery, staff supervision, and cash handling. You will be responsible for opening/closing the centre and contributing to wider projects and improvements.

Qualifications

• Staff supervision and leadership experience.
• Experience delivering high-quality customer service in a service environment.
• Cash handling/reconciliation and working with financial procedures.
• Ability to calculate figures and manage budgets/finances.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the site team to deliver high service standards.
• Oversee staffing, rotas and recruitment processes.
• Ensure Health and Safety policies are followed and report incidents.
• Manage cash handling and daily financial procedures.
• Plan and deliver programming and events to engage customers.
• Monitor performance and ensure adherence to quality systems.
• Support marketing and sales initiatives for the site.
• Maintain cleanliness and maintenance standards, including security.
• Open/close the centre and respond to after-hours issues.
• Undertake other duties including project work and absence cover.
