Job summary

Celebrity Cruises seeks an experienced CDP Baker to lead daily bakery operations aboard our vessels, ensuring quality and consistency of bread and pastries across menus.

You will supervise bakery staff, coordinate production forecasts, manage inventory, and uphold USPH standards on shipboard, while collaborating with Executive Chef.

The role requires a culinary school degree, at least two years as a CDP Baker in hospitality, and strong leadership in a multicultural crew.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience as a CDP Baker in upscale settings (hotel, resort, cruise ship or banquet service).
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent problem solving and customer service abilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth operation and control of bakery shop and daily production.
• Direct, coach, supervise, and evaluate bakery staff.
• Oversee production, quality, and presentation of bread and pastries for daily menus.
• Prepare forecasts and monitor leftovers to control food costs.
• Supervise display setup in buffets and ensure compliance with USPH rules.
• Maintain cleanliness per schedule and minimize equipment damage.
• Ensure readiness for USPH inspections and proper inventory transport from stores.
• Maintain recipes, master lists, yields, and daily consumption recap.
• Ensure timely attendance and proper uniform and hygiene standards.
