Job summary

Celebrity Cruises is seeking a Bakery Lead CDP Baker to manage daily bakery operations onboard. You will supervise the bakery team, ensure quality and presentation of bread for menus, and forecast production while minimizing waste.

You will enforce USPH standards and manage displays, schedules, and attendance in a multicultural shipboard environment. The role requires a culinary school degree, at least two years as a CDP Baker, and strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years' experience as a CDP Baker in upscale hospitality settings.
• Culinary school degree is required.
• Strong management, communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Solid customer service, teambuilding and conflict resolution skills.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and reporting.
• Ability to write reports and work with shipboard officers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth operation and daily control of the Bakery Shop and production.
• Direct, coach, supervise and evaluate direct reports with the Head Baker.
• Oversee production quality and presentation of bread for daily menus.
• Prepare forecasts and monitor leftovers to control food costs.
• Supervise bread display setup in buffets and maintain cleanliness.
• Comply with USPH rules and shipboard safety standards daily.
• Ensure bakery and pantry readiness for USPH inspections.
• Manage requisition and transport of items from main stores to bakery.
• Ensure recipes and yields meet company standards and recaps are completed.
• Ensure timely attendance and proper uniforms; uphold hygiene policies.
• Understand Time and Attendance, ship contracts and work hours.
