Job summary

Celebrity Cruises is seeking an experienced CDP Baker to manage the bakery shop and daily production aboard our ship. You will lead a diverse team, ensuring the quality and presentation of our bread offerings, while maintaining cost control and compliance with USPH standards.

The role requires a culinary school degree and at least two years of CDP Baker experience in upscale settings, with strong management and customer service skills to support guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Two years' CDP Baker experience in upscale hotel, resort, cruise ship or convention banqueting service; shipboard experience preferred.
• A culinary school degree is required.
• Strong management, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Superior customer service and teamwork abilities.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and ability to write reports.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth operation of the bakery shop and production daily.
• Direct, coach, supervise, and evaluate staff with Head Baker.
• Oversee production, quality and presentation of bread for daily menus.
• Prepare production forecasts and monitor leftovers to control costs.
• Ensure bakery cleanliness and compliance with USPH rules and inspections.
• Coordinate requisition and transportation of items from main stores.
