Job summary

Celebrity Cruises seeks an experienced CDP Baker to lead the Bakery Shop aboard our ships, directing daily production, quality, and presentation of bread offerings for varied menus. You will coach and evaluate the bakery team, forecast production, control waste, and ensure strict adherence to USPH rules, safety, and cleanliness throughout operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years' experience as a CDP Baker in upscale hotel, resort, cruise ship or banqueting service.
• Culinary school degree is required.
• Strong management skills in a multicultural environment.
• Excellent communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth operation and control of the Bakery Shop and production daily.
• Direct, coach, supervise, and evaluate staff with the Head Baker.
• Responsible for production, quality, and presentation of bread for daily menus.
• Prepare production forecasts and record leftovers to avoid waste and control costs.
• Oversee the set-up of the bread display in buffets.
• Ensure compliance with USPH rules and regulations daily.
• Maintain cleanliness of the bakery per the Executive Chef’s schedule.
• Prepare daily consumption recap as required by the Executive Chef.
• Coach and train all assigned team members.
• Perform other duties as required by supervision.
