Job summary

Celebrity Cruises seeks an experienced CDP Baker to lead bakery operations aboard our vessels. You will supervise and train bakery staff, ensure daily production, quality and presentation of breads for daily menus, and manage waste and costs in line with budgets.

Applicant must hold a culinary school degree, have at least two years in upscale hospitality or cruise ship settings, and demonstrate strong leadership, communication and planning skills to operate in a multicultural environment.

Qualifications

• Two years' experience as a CDP Baker in upscale hospitality, cruise ship preferred.
• Culinary school degree required.
• Strong management, communication, decision-making and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Directs, coaches, supports, supervises, and evaluates all direct reports.
• Production, quality, and presentation of bread for daily menus.
• Prepare production forecasts and record leftovers to reduce waste and costs.
• Supervise bread display setup in buffets.
• Ensure USPH rules are followed daily and shipboard compliance.
• Ensure bakery sanitation per Executive Chef’s schedule.
• Requisition and transport items from main stores to bakery shop.
• Ensure recipes and yields align with company standards.
• Complete daily production recap and coach/train team members.
