A catering organization in Burton upon Trent is looking for a Catering Host to assist with food preparation and service. Job description

Our client based in Burton on Trent are in the hospitality sector, they currently have the need for a Catering Host to join their team on a temporary, ongoing basis.

The role will entail assistance with food preparation, food and beverages service and maintaining high hygiene standards at all times.

Duties:
  • Providing excellent customer service
  • Ensuring to maintain high health, safety and hygiene standards
  • Preparation of meals
  • Plating and service of both hot and cold meals
  • Probing and recording food temperatures
  • Cleaning meal trays and cutlery in food areas
  • Disposal of catering and waste materials
  • Completing procedural paperwork to ensure temperature checks are recorded

Hours: 20 hours a week

The successful candidate will be a team player with excellent communication and customer service skills. Candidates must have basic food hygiene qualification or be willing to undertake training to gain the legal requirement of a level 2 in food safety. It is desired that candidates will have experience of working in the catering industry and have knowledge about food allergens.
