Somerset Larder in Bristol is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support food preparation, basic cooking, and front‑of‑house duties. The role helps maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, safety and customer service while assisting colleagues across kitchen and service areas.

You will work across breakfast, lunch, dinner, delivery and events, handle stock, take deliveries, and ensure orders are prepared to spec. The position offers full‑time hours, on‑site work, and a benefits package.

Competenze

• Experience in catering, kitchen, hospitality, or food service.
• Basic food preparation and cooking skills.
• Strong customer service and communication abilities.
• Ability to work quickly in a busy environment.
• Good organisation and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and allergen management.

Mansioni

• Assist with preparation, cooking and presentation of food for breakfast, lunch, dinner, hospitality, and buffet services.
• Serve food, beverages and retail products while maintaining high standards of presentation and assist with tills/EPOS when required.
• Assist with receiving, checking, and storing deliveries and manage stock rotation.
• Maintain clean, safe and organised kitchen and dining areas and complete hygiene records.
• Collaborate with kitchen, delivery and front‑of‑house teams to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Participate in training and development activities.
