Job summary

Somerset Larder is seeking a hands-on Kitchen Assistant to support chefs in meal preparation and food service at Hinkley Point C. The role involves food prep, cleaning, stock reception, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Food Safety Qualification (Desirable)
• Level 2 H&S Qualification (Desirable)
• First Aid Certificate (Desirable)

Responsibilities

• Assist Chefs in preparation and cooking as required
• Clean all equipment, crockery and cutlery
• Receive deliveries and check supplier invoices
• Support cleaning and deep cleaning as required
• Ensure food handling follows Food Safety & Quality Management System (FSQMS) standards
• Participate in HACCP team activities if required
• Adhere to health and safety legislation and Codes of Practice
