Responsibilities

  • Maintain the cleanliness of kitchen and related areas.
  • Prepare produce for mealtime, including vegetable preparation.
  • Ensure correct storage of all dry and perishable produce.
  • Safely store cleaning materials.
  • Clean cooking utensils and pots to required standards.
  • Carry out tasks assigned by the Head Chef or Home Manager.

Our new care home in Saffron Walden opens its doors in February 2026. At Care UK's Bailey Lodge in Saffron Walden, providing the highest standard of care for residents will be at the heart of what we do. The Role
  • Maintain the cleanliness of kitchen and related areas.
  • Preparation of produce for mealtime, for example vegetable preparation and making of sandwiches
  • Ensure correct storage of all dry and perishable produce.
  • Safely storing cleaning materials
  • Ensure all cooking utensils and pots are cleaned to the required standards
  • Carry out any tasks assigned by the Head / Second Chef or Home Manager
