Millennium Hotels and Resorts Cardiff is hiring a Casual Food & Beverage Assistant to join our busy hotel team. You will work across restaurant, bar, breakfast, dinner, and events, delivering warm, attentive service to guests.

We value friendly communication, ability to work under pressure, and experience with payment processing (Micros is a plus). Shifts include mornings and evenings to cover breakfast and dinner service.

We are looking for dynamic individuals that put great customer service at the heart of everything that they do. We currently have a number of contracts available so are happy to discuss flexible working to suit both you and the needs of the business…*Our guests stay 7 days a week so we do need someone who is available to work a variety of shifts.

As a Casual Food and Beverage team member, your main duties will be:

• The service of food and beverage products in the restaurant, working within the bar, breakfast or evening restaurant team, or Meetings & Events working weddings, functions and other events
• Being able to confidently communicate all our food and beverage offerings available to customers.
• Accurately dealing with all payment transactions (cash, card and room charging) in the correct manner according to company guidelines.
• Providing a warm and welcoming service at all touch points with the guests ensuring that any queries or requirements are dealt with accordingly.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience in a busy beverage service position is requested
• Attentive, professional customer service skills
• The ability to work well under pressure and as part of a big team
• Experience of processing payments (experience of Micros would be advantageous)
• As the position covers breakfast or dinner service the employee would need to be available for morning and/or evenings to ensure seamless service for each guest
