Job summary

Millennium Hotels and Resorts in Liverpool is seeking a Casual Food & Beverage Assistant to support our busy restaurant and bar teams. You will deliver friendly service, handle payments and help with events when needed.

Shifts run across a 7-day week from early to late, with a flexible pattern and on-site training provided. The role offers a competitive hourly rate up to £12.71 and opportunities for career development within the group.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a food and beverage service position.
• Attentive, professional customer service skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a big team.
• Experience of processing payments (Micros advantageous).
• Confidence, professionalism and engaging personality.

Responsibilities

• Providing the service of food and beverage products in the restaurant, predominantly working within the bar and cellar stocking shelves and occasionally being available for breakfast or evening restaurant team, or Meetings & Events working weddings, functions and other events.
• Communicating all our food and beverage offerings to customers.
• Handling payments (cash, card and room charging) accurately according to company guidelines.
• Providing a warm and welcoming service at all guest touchpoints.

We are looking for dynamic individuals that put great customer service at the heart of everything that they do. Our guests stay 7 days a week so we do need someone who is available to work a variety of shifts from 7am to 2am any day of the week, but we are willing to have an open discussion about possible shift patterns with applicants!

As our Casual Food & Beverage Assistant, your main duties will be:

• Providing the service of food and beverage products in the restaurant, predominantly working within the bar and cellar stocking shelves and occasionally being available for breakfast or evening restaurant team, or Meetings & Events working weddings, functions and other events
• Being able to confidently communicate all our food and beverage offerings available to customers.
• Accurately dealing with all payment transactions (cash, card and room charging) in the correct manner according to company guidelines.
• Providing a warm and welcoming service at all touch points with the guests ensuring that any queries or requirements are dealt with accordingly.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience in a food and beverage service position
