Job summary

Constellation Careers is seeking a Chef de Partie to join our catering team across Glasgow area venues. You will manage your kitchen section, prepare high‑quality meals, oversee presentation, and ensure consistency for trainees, staff, and guests during events while maintaining top hygiene standards.

This casual contract involves shifts Monday to Sunday and offers opportunities to work at multiple venues across Scotland; accommodation and travel can be provided.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a Chef de Partie.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations.
• Knowledge of food hygiene, allergen awareness, and HACCP procedures.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a busy kitchen environment
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Positive attitude and strong team-working abilities.
• Passion for delivering high-quality food and service.
• Reliable and flexible approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present high-quality meals within your designated kitchen section
• Support the smooth operation of daily food service across the college facilities
• Maintain excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards at all times
• Assist with menu preparation, stock control, and food ordering procedures
• Ensure all food is prepared and presented to agreed standards
• Monitor portion control and minimise food waste
• Support and mentor junior kitchen staff where required
• Ensure kitchen equipment and work areas are kept clean and organised
• Follow all allergen, HACCP, and food safety regulations
• Assist with hospitality functions, events, and large-scale catering services as required
• Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen and front-of-house teams
