Job summary

Compass Group UK&I is seeking an experienced Chef de Partie to join our contract catering team in Glasgow. You will run your designated section and support the wider kitchen team to deliver high-quality food and service.

You will prepare and cook to a high standard, follow menus and portion control guidelines, maintain hygiene, support breakfast, lunch and hospitality services, and help with stock checks and waste reduction, while guiding junior staff as needed.

Qualifications

• Experienced as a Chef de Partie or in a similar kitchen role.
• Passionate about food and hospitality.
• Reliable, organised and hardworking.
• A good team player with a positive attitude.
• Committed to maintaining high standards.
• Knowledgeable about food safety and hygiene.
• Flexible and willing to support the team when required.
• Previous contract catering experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking food to a high standard.
• Taking responsibility for your designated section.
• Supporting breakfast, lunch and hospitality services.
• Following menus, recipes and portion control guidelines.
• Ensuring food is prepared and presented consistently.
• Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness.
• Checking and storing deliveries correctly.
• Monitoring stock and minimising food waste.
• Working closely with the wider kitchen team during service.
• Supporting junior chefs and kitchen assistants when required.
• Completing cleaning and close-down duties.
