Job summary

JP Morgan Chase, in the United Kingdom, seeks a Governance Manager within the CASS team to lead two staff, shape priorities, and ensure high-quality governance in relation to FCA Client Assets (CASS) requirements. You will own audits, risk management, policy updates and stakeholder training.

You will coordinate external audits, manage breach processes, and drive improvements across the control framework while guiding senior stakeholders and supporting strategic objectives.

Qualifications

• Strong working understanding of the FCA CASS rules and practical application.
• Experience in line managing or ready to step into a management role.
• Excellent organisation and prioritisation across a team.
• Clear verbal and written communication with senior stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with concise communication of requirements.
• Ability to drive change and set high standards for the team.
• Ability to build strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience leading audits and regulatory engagements is a plus.
• Experience in financial services, ideally in CASS, compliance, risk or audit is desirable.
• Opportunity to identify AI/automation opportunities in workflows.

Responsibilities

• Line manage a two-person team, set objectives, and conduct performance reviews.
• Coach and develop team members, supporting CASS knowledge and career progression.
• Allocate and prioritise work to meet deadlines and maintain standards.
• Coordinate annual external CASS audits and internal audits, liaison with auditors.
• Own CASS breach management, including escalation, root cause analysis and remediation.
• Oversee CASS risk and controls mapping and drive framework enhancements.
• Design and deliver CASS-related training to stakeholders.
• Review and update the CASS Policy and Standards to stay compliant.
• Review new business initiatives to ensure FCA CASS compliance.
• Contribute to strategic planning to align with business objectives.
• Prepare and present CASS management information to senior management.
