Bournemouth Airport is seeking a commercially focused Cargo Development Manager to support the continued growth of its cargo operations. This role combines business development, account management, and commercial negotiation within a dynamic aviation environment.

Working alongside the Head of Development, you will be responsible for developing and securing new cargo business, strengthening existing relationships, and contributing to the airport’s long‑term cargo strategy.

Formación

• Experience in air cargo sales or aviation business development.
• Strong industry network across airlines, freight forwarders, brokers and logistics providers.
• Commercially astute with negotiation skills and understanding of cargo operations.

Responsabilidades

• Develop new cargo opportunities with airlines, brokers, freight forwarders and shippers.
• Maintain and grow existing customer relationships to maximise revenue.
• Prepare and deliver clear, commercially sound proposals.
• Lead negotiations through to agreed commercial contracts.
• Represent the airport at industry events and meetings (UK and internationally).
• Work closely with operational teams to ensure delivery aligns with commercial commitments.
• Identify opportunities for additional services and revenue streams.
• Support marketing activity through the development of relevant B2B content.
• Contribute to the development of the airport’s cargo growth strategy.
• Monitor performance and provide reporting on key cargo metrics.
• Undertake market and competitor analysis to inform business development activity.
