Job summary

East Midlands Airport, part of MAG, is seeking a Head of Cargo Development to lead the next phase of its cargo growth. You will shape strategy, grow import/export demand and strengthen the airport's cargo proposition across the regional and national markets.

You will build partnerships with ecommerce, manufacturing, freight forwarders and trade bodies, influence airline opportunities, and translate market insight into robust business cases that drive sustainable cargo growth.

Qualifications

• Significant commercial experience within air-cargo logistics or related B2B environment.
• Proven track record of growing cargo demand and building partnerships.
• Strong leadership, negotiation and relationship-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Developing and delivering a clear cargo growth strategy for the airport.
• Building strategic relationships with e-commerce, manufacturers, shippers, and trade bodies.
• Leading the East Midlands cargo community and coordinating alignment among stakeholders.
• Translating cargo demand into airline opportunities and cargo capacity development.
• Identifying opportunities to support cargo growth with multiple internal teams.
